Thu Mar 17 22:00:00 UTC 2016 22:00 Rubix

For our final night before Easter, we’re returning to Rubix with perhaps our biggest lineup to date.

Last time we transformed Rubix with a custom-built stage, projection mapping and state of the art lasers from Paradox State, who will be returning once again.

Those of you made it down to our Lost For Words collaboration night before Christmas will know that this is certainly not one to miss.

Paleman

Since emerging on to the scene in 2012 with the incredible All Good EP on Fulcrum Records, Paleman has rapidly become one the UK’s most exciting and forward-thinking producers. With a number of releases on Loefah’s Swamp 81 label, including his 2013 collaboration with Zed Bias, Paleman hosts his monthly Swamp 81 show on Rinse FM and is a regular on their event lineups. The now London-based producer’s minimal and percussive musical style is unmistakable and his notable collaborations, with Chunky, New York Transit Authority and remixes for Redlight and Mercury-prize nominees Polar Bear, reflect this signature sound. His DJ sets are equally distinctive, he's showcased this ability on two occasions for Boiler Room. Having recently debuted a whole host of new and unreleased material on Rinse as part of an original productions mix, Paleman looks set to deliver in Rubix.

Alex Coulton

Machnester-born Alex Coulton has established himself as a leading figure in the alternative, darker side of the UK house and techno scenes, with releases on Tempa and his own imprint, Syndrome Z. With early support from the likes of Ben UFO, Gilles Peterson and Benji B as early as 2011, his productions draw influence from dubstep, giving his music a clear UK feel. With contributions to Peverlist, Kowton and Asusu’s Livity Sound sub-label Dnuos YtiviL, as well as Idle Hands Records, Alex Coulton’s sound fits neatly into the Bristol scene. Combining his eclectic range of influences with his own raw, stripped-back sound, his DJ sets emphasise rhythm and groove whilst layering rich textures. With a release on Wisdom Teeth already under his belt in 2016, this year looks set to be a big one for Alex Coulton.

Ricky Cato

Current Presha head honcho and UK bass connoisseur Ricky Cato has been causing a scene ever since he took up the leading role. Over the course of the last few years Ricky has been delivering his unique sound, fusing dark percussive techno tones with vibrant world influences. With a host of brand new tunes under his belt, we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.

Presha DJs

Kicking things off for the night, our residents Dozens, Sleepertrain, 95 Bones and Keynes will be going back to back for the opening slot. Head down for doors at 10pm to catch their set.
